This painting began as an experiment.

I wanted to play with texture, acrylic mediums, and movement without worrying too much about the outcome. Somewhere along the way, this little abstract creature appeared and seemed perfectly content drifting through its world.

The funny part?

I'm still not sure which direction is "up."

I've hung it vertically. Horizontally. I've turned it upside down more times than I can count, and every time I think I've decided, I change my mind again.

Maybe that's the beauty of abstract art. Sometimes there isn't a single right answer. The painting becomes whatever the owner sees in it and wherever it feels most at home.

So for now...I'm still stuck.
