As an admirer of nature, I was lucky enough to wake up early one morning during my camping trip in Two Harbors, by the side of Lake Superior, just in time for the sunrise. I had my camera with me and was trying to snap some artistic shots. One of them came out quite blurry, but to my surprise, it had a unique charm that the focused ones didn't. That's when the inspiration for this painting struck.

The canvas is a mix of warm shades of reds, oranges, and yellows, reflecting the sunrise's fiery hues. But if you look closely, you'll spot the softer purples of the early morning light peeking through subtly, creating a delicate balance. What I found particularly amusing was when a friend's child pointed out that it looked like “The Incredibles” logo. I can see it too, and it adds a fun and unexpected twist to the whole piece. I debated whether or not to mention "The Incredibles," but felt the interpretation of art by a child is worth noting. It's a charming reminder that art is open to individual perspectives and can spark unexpected connections and emotions. This painting, for me, is a celebration of the simple joys in life, from nature's beauty to the innocence of a child's imagination.
