Some paintings begin with a question that isn't answered until the next canvas.

After experimenting with floating spheres in Floating Oil Orbs, I found myself wondering what would happen if those separate forms weren't separate at all. What if each one was connected by something almost invisible—a delicate thread that held them together while still allowing them to move freely?

That simple idea changed the painting.

The transparent strands suggest connection without control. They bend and stretch as each sphere follows its own path, reminding me that many of the relationships in our lives work the same way. Family, friendships, memories, and shared experiences can keep us connected without requiring us to remain in the same place.

Perhaps we're all more tethered than we realize.
